Hairstyles

I am trying to decide what to do with my hair. It has been long and straight since high school, fourteen very short years ago. I am going back and forth between getting it cut short or leaving it long. Part of me wants to try a shorter cut, but I am scared to death. I know my hair looks nice now, if I cut it will it still look nice. I don't know. Many have said don't do it, some have said go for it. The hubby gave the okay to get it cut if I want, but I know he does not really want me too. So there in lays the dilemma. Decisions, decisions. Any suggestions?
